The Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint® active noise-cancelling headphones can be used to eliminate the sound of aircraft engines while travelling, leaving you free to enjoy your music without distractions. These headphones can also be used to reduce traffic sounds or the background noise from busy offices and dorms.

Overall Rating:

The ear cups on the headphones are large, well padded, fully surround the ear (circumaural) and are comfortable to wear for extended periods. When not in use the headphones fold flat inside the carry case provided. There is also space inside the carrying case for extra equipment such as an iPod and/or extra batteries.

These headphones are capable of delivering clear high resolution sound with the NC function switched on, although the sound quality is not quite so good when the headphones are used with the noise canceling turned off. It should also be noted that at higher volumes there is a fair amount of sound leakage from the ear cups, which could cause annoyance to fellow passengers while travelling. When the batteries run out the headphones still continue to work with the noise canceling turned off.
