This technology was originally developed for use in top of the range hearing aids. The main effect for the listener is that sounds in the higher frequencies are not smothered by low frequency bass sounds, resulting in a clearer and more transparent audio experience.

The headphones completely surround the ear (circumaural) with a soft ear cushion and are light and very comfortable to wear during long listening sessions. A small switch is provided on the side of the earcup so that the user can instantly turn off the NC circuit at any time.

An inline volume control also allows easy adjustment of sound levels for safe listening.
